More power, more impact or more comfort: with the Black Friday tennis rackets, it all starts from what your game demands. The adult and junior frames range from beginner models to competition rackets.
Filter by weight, balance or level to compare the models that truly match your playing style.
The weight determines stability and fatigue: 260 to 280 grams for beginners or casual play, 285 to 300 grams for regular players, more for advanced players who hit hard. A large head size, around 645 cm², forgives off-centre hits; a smaller head size offers more control. The balance is measured in millimetres: the higher it is, the more the head weighs, which helps with power.
A strung racket is ready to play, with a factory stringing that is enough to get started. An unstrung racket allows the player to choose the string and tension, which regular players prefer. The dedicated filter on the page allows you to sort the two.
Junior rackets are measured in inches, from 19 to 26. A simple rule: standing with arms by the side, the head of the racket should just touch the ground without touching it. A racket that is too long tires the wrist and slows down learning.
A new frame deserves proper stringing: the strings from Black Friday include reels and accessories. To transport it, the tennis accessories offer bags and replacement grips, and the tennis balls are waiting for you to try it out.
End-of-line products then go on sale by brand: Tecnifibre on sale, Wilson, Babolat or Prince. All current tennis offers are on the page Black Friday tennis.
A lightweight racket, between 255 and 275 grams, with a large head size and sold strung. Filter the page for beginner level to keep just these models.
Rarely: a heavy frame and a small head size require consistent hitting and good placement. It’s better to go for an intermediate model, which is more forgiving, and then level up later.
The grip is measured from 0 to 5. With your hand closed around the handle, there should be the width of a finger between the tips of your fingers and your palm. If it’s too small, it forces you to grip too tightly; if it’s too big, it restricts your wrist. A overgrip adds a bit of thickness if you’re unsure between two sizes.
Opt for a flexible frame, heavy enough to absorb shock, and a multifilament string set at moderate tension. A vibration dampener, found in the accessories, reduces the feeling of vibration but does not replace a suitable frame.
Not for beginners: the factory strings work well. A regular player benefits from using their own strings, choosing from the discounted strings.
