Tennis, padel and badminton rackets
A page for each sport
- Tennis rackets: to choose based on weight, head size and balance.
- Padel rackets: round, teardrop or diamond-shaped.
- Badminton rackets: lightweight, compared by balance and stiffness.
- Squash rackets: for leisure and competition.
- Table tennis rackets: pre-made or DIY kits.
- Pickleball rackets: for this rapidly growing racket sport.
Adult or junior
The pages adult rackets and junior rackets group models by age, covering all sports. A junior racket is chosen based on the child's size, not their age.
The rackets by brand
Head, Babolat, Wilson, Tecnifibre, Prince, Yonex, Dunlop, adidas and Bullpadel each have their own page.
Three common points across all sports
First, the weight: a lightweight racket is quick to handle, a heavier one stabilizes hits. Then, the balance: towards the head for power, towards the handle for manoeuvrability. Lastly, the tolerance: a frame that forgives off-centre hits helps a beginner improve faster.
Ranges to know
- Tennis: Head Speed, Babolat Pure Aero and Pure Drive, Tecnifibre TF-X1, Wilson Blade.
- Padel: Head Extreme and Speed, Nox AT10.
- Badminton: Yonex Astrox and Nanoflare.
